Samsung unveils Galaxy Watch Active, Fit e, and Galaxy Buds

Samsung wants you to be the part of its ecosystem, and by the name of it, the company brings a smartwatch, two smart bands, and new truly wireless earbuds.

Samsung Galaxy Watch Active

Samsung doesn’t talk about much on the new design of the Galaxy Watch Active. But, it’s true that it does not have the traditional rotating bezels. Even more, the watch measures just 10.5mm (the Galaxy Watch is 12.7mm). The 40mm diameter on the watch is perfect for the people who have small hands.

To compete with Apple’s, Galaxy Watch Active supports Blood Pressure Monitoring. The watch also supports the usual heart rate monitoring and aims to track your stress level. The Galaxy Wayc Active makes use of sensors like GPS/GLONASS, accelerometer, gyroscope, and barometer to track 39 activities.

Anyways, the Galaxy Watch Active carries the model number SM-R500. It runs on Tizen 4.0.0.3 on an Exynos 9110 chipset with 768MB of RAM and 4GB of built-in storage. The watch doesn’t have rotating bezels and the AMOLED display measures– 1.1-inch, 360x360px.

The Galaxy Watch Active seems to be a significant upgrade, except for its battery. Well, the 42mm watch will get 236mAh battery. With that said, it is smaller than the 300mAh offering on the Galaxy Watch 2018. Also, it can be charged wirelessly by Qi charger.

The Galaxy Watch Active is waterproof up to 5ATM, and one can customize the watch with 20mm interchangeable bands. The watch is not cheap, and it starts at $200/€250.

Samsung Galaxy Fit and Fit e

The all-new Galaxy Fir and Fit e are the latest attempts by the company. The bands weigh at 24g only and resist 5ATM water. Covering everything from rowing to an elliptical trainer, the Galaxy Fit and Galaxy Fit e can track over 90 activities on the watch.

The Galaxy Fit duo doesn’t run on Tizen but has got functionalities like getting alarms, calendar events and weather info from your phone. The GalaxyFit offers a 0.95” color AMOLED with 120 x 240px resolution (282ppi). In contrast, the Galaxy Fit E packs inside a smaller 0.74” black and white PMOLED with 64 x 128px resolution (193ppi).

Anyways, the Galaxy Fit e starts at $100/€100, and its a good buy for health freaks.

Samsung Galaxy Buds

The last thing that Samsung made official was the AKG tuned earbuds. The specialty about these buds is the Adaptive Dual Microphones system places one mic on the outside and one on the inside, so your voice will be loud and clear in every environment.

The new Galaxy Buds be charged wirelessly by putting the casing on the back of the Galaxy S10 phones. The case has a 252mAh battery, while individual buds have 58mAh battery. Well, that’s less than the Gear IconX (2018), which had 82mAh in the buds and 340mAh in the case.

A special part of these headphones is that they can play music independent of the phone. Even more, one can store around 2,000 songs on the 8GB of internal storage on the buds. With that said, the offline storage is double in comparison to the IconX. The Bluetooth gets an upgrade to version 5.0, as well. Moreover, it retains the Galaxy Buds 2019 sweat-resistance rating (IPX2).

Above all, the Galaxy Buds can play music for 6 hours in continuity. In case of a voice call, they provide a battery life of 5 hours. Charging the buds in the case for 15 minutes provides 1 hour and 40 minutes worth of charge.
