Xiaomi released a teaser couple of days ago teasing the launch of the Redmi Note 7 on February 28. Now, a new report claims the company will bring multiple devices to the Indian market including the Redmi Note 7 Pro, Redmi Go and Mi Sports Bluetooth Headset Youth Edition. The Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Go is already launched in China and Philippines respectively.
According to recent reports, the Indian version of the Redmi Note 7 will be different from the one that went official in China. It might not even feature the 48MP rear camera that is one of its primary features. Previous reports suggested Redmi Note 7’s two variants will make its way to India. The base variant of the handset will have a 3 GB of RAM + 32 GB internal storage and the higher variant will have 4 GB RAM + 64 GB of internal storage.
It will be available in Red, Blue and Black colors; whereas the Redmi Note 7 Pro is expected in a 4GB + 64GB variant only initially, with Gradient Red, Gradient Blue and Black colors. Recently leaked renders by Ishan Agarwal showed Indian Note 7 variant with the wordings “AI Camera” and “1.25μm f/2.2 PDAF” printed near the camera, while the render for the Indian Note 7 Pro variant shows the wordings “48MP” and “AI Dual Camera” mentioned on it. However, the reports are not reliable and we would advise you to take it with a pinch of salt.
The Indian prices of the smartphone along with the Redmi Go and Mi Sports Edition have surfaced online. A Telegram tipster revealed that the Redmi Go, the company’s first Android Go smartphone will cost Rs 3,499 for the first three months. After the stipulated time frame, the price of the handset is expected to be increased. The Mi Sports Bluetooth Headset Youth Edition will be available at a price tag of Rs 1,499. However, these alleged prices of the devices are yet to be officially confirmed by the company.
The Redmi Go is the company’s first Android Go smartphone optimized for low-end hardware. It features a 5 inch 720p HD display with 16:9 aspect ratio and uses capacitive buttons at the bottom It is powered by a 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 paired with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage which can be further expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.
In the optics department, the device sports an 8MP single rear camera with a LED flash while offering a 5MP camera at the front. It runs on Android Oreo (Go Edition) and comes pre-loaded with a couple of Lite apps like Google Assistant Go, YouTube Go, Gmail Go and more. The handset is includes a 3,000 mAh battery. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS and a microUSB port. It will be available in Red, Blue and Black color options and will go against the likes of Nokia 2.1, Micromax Bharat Go.
